This shape 41/7 vase never went into production, Moorcroft released a slightly different Golden Plovers Design on a larger vase Shape No. 869/9 which had trees in the back ground a the bird layout was very different as a Limited Edition, making this Trial Version Extremely Rare
Moorcroft's Description
For Emma, time spent in the Yorkshire counties is never wasted time. On the sweeping moors of the North, Emma kept a watchful eye open for her favoured Golden Plovers. They are unmistakable with short bursts of running, striking gold and black summer plumage and a flight call which is almost harsh. In winter, the fierce black part of the plumage is replaced by a gentler, fawn or oatmeal. After consideration, Emma opted for gold and black to dress these birds surrounded by swathes of purple heather.
