Stroll along a boardwalk, through a reedbed, and listen out for the ‘chattering’ song of a Reed Warbler, before trying to find this tiny, well camouflaged, brown-coloured bird. Reed Warblers weave their nests as a sling between two or three reed stems and lay three to five eggs in it. It has to be said that a Reed Warbler’s nest is a work of art, taking a week or more to build from reed leaves and fronds, and lined with reed flowers.
